Ferny Hills Futures is a collective of Ferny Hills residents who care about our neighbourhood and our community.

We want positive futures for all people in Ferny Hills – those who live here now and those who move here.

We want our neighbourhood and community to thrive. 

We think residents should be involved in making decisions about the place where we live, work and play.

We understand the need for more housing in Queensland and welcome thoughtful development of our suburb in a way that recognises its family-friendly nature, its natural resources, and which is sustainable, inclusive and affordable.

We think development needs to be done well, not at any cost.

We want to ensure our community is engaged in plan-making in a relevant and appropriate way through: 

• engagement that focuses on the best interests of the community 

• engagement that is open, honest and meaningful 

• engagement approaches that are inclusive and meet their particular needs 

• timely, accurate, easy-to-understand and accessible information 

• transparent decision-making. 

We intend to prepare a considered response for Council and to equip our neighbours to do the same by providing easy-to-understand information that can be actioned.
